Community Well-Being Index,
Falls County, Texas, 1999

The following factors comprise the Community Well-Being Index 1,a:

· Proportion below poverty
· Proportion of households on public assistance
· Proportion of female headed families
· Proportion of persons over 16 who are unemployed
· Persons under 18 per square mile


Higher values of the Index suggest higher levels of community well-being. Low values of the Index indicate low levels of Child Well-Being.
