Description of the Organization
The St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital Mobile Health System Unit has been operating in Houston since October 1999. The mammography unit serves about 2,000 women annually, and operates year-round Monday through Saturday. A motto of the unit is, "St. Luke's Quality, Neighborhood Convenience," and the unit seeks to provide multiple-community service with its coverage area. There is a fee for services, but some services are free thorough Episcopal Health Charities, and financial assistance is also available. |

Mission
The Department of Radiology, in association with St. Luke's Episcopal Healthcare System, is totally committed to maintaining the highest standard of care. It is our purpose to provide radiological services, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, in a safe and efficient manner. We advocate standards and technical conduct of the highest quality, as delineated by all professional organizations. In partnership with the Texas Heart Institute, we are committed to participate in radiology education and research to improve the quality of patient care with the most advanced techniques. We remain committed to teaching residents, fellows, and radiological technology students through affiliation with recognized universities and colleges in the Houston area. As St. Luke's Episcopal Healthcare System reaches out to the community, Radiology will provide the necessary clinical and educational services to support these endeavors. We are still accepting new community projects throughout the year.
