Description of the Organization MCHD is a primary clinic serving all of the indigent, underserved and uninsured of Montgomery County. A new mobile health van was delivered in late December 2001 and began service in early 2002. |

Further Information About this Unit: The MCHD Mobile Van sees approximately 20-30 patients per day. They continue to meet the needs of the underserved of Montgomery County as it rapidly continues to grow. The patient base has grown at least 75-100 percent every year since inception. The MCHD mobile unit is projected to see almost 5000 patients in 2002. Last year, they assisted in the mass meningitis vaccinations in Montgomery County. A total of 85,000 vaccines were given over a three week period in early spring of last year.
