Background: Ubi Caritas was formed in November 1997, to minister to the health needs of the medically underserved population of South Beaumont. As an innovative partnership of diverse groups, the organization is working together to provide a nurse-managed clinic and health education center for the neighborhood. Under the leadership of a board appointed by Bishop Payne representing area Episcopal churches, this effort has moved aggressively and has already purchased property to be renovated. It has funded 90 percent of the medical staffing costs for the next three years, established and has provided educational services for over 350 area residents.

Mission: Rooted in our belief in the living God from whom the sacredness of all life is derived, we seek to carry on the ministry of Jesus Christ through healing, teaching and acts of mercy.
