Dr. Hanks Presents on Project Safety Net

Charities Community Liaison Jeanne Hanks, DrPH, MSW will speak about the supply of medical care provided by clinics who participate in Project Safety Net, an interactive site that helps link families and individuals to medical homes.

Time: 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM – Presentation of 2008 Hospital ER Study, Charles Begley, Patrick Courtney, and Keith Burau - UTSPH    

9:30 AM – Presentation of Primary Care Initiatives, Jeanne Hanks – St. Luke's Episcopal Health Charities
Ronald Cookston – Gateway To Care
Karen Love – Harris County Healthcare Alliance    

In addition to our ongoing analyses and your customary individual reports, this year's individual and aggregate reports will include the following new items: a. Behavioral health related ED visits b. Updated cost estimates, both total and for the uninsured c. ZIP code level changes in ED visits d. ED visits by method of transportation (ambulance vs. self).
